Bowl
Plastic/metal containe
Frying pan
Tablespoon
Teaspoon
- 250 gm Almonds
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Ground cumin
- 1 tsp Paprika powder or chili powder
- 1 tsp Salt and pepper According to taste
Take a bowl and thoroughly mix all the ingredients in it.
Spread the mixture on a frying pan and set the flame to a medium heat setting.
Continue cooking until the almonds are roasted golden. They must get slightly brown and give out a slightly smoky flavor.
Allow the roasted nuts to cool. Serve with a drink.
Note:
If olive oil is unavailable or you don’t wish to use the same, you can use coconut oil instead. I personally like to add a little stevia to give a hot and sweet taste. You can also add curry leaves to give it a more flavorsome profile.
If you don’t have almonds or don’t want to use them, you can try other types of nuts, such as pecans or walnuts or macadamias.
Note:
If you wish to store the roasted nuts for later consumption, you can do so by storing the same in some airtight container with a lid. Store at room temperature.
